There were three reasons to have this site built. First and the main
one, I wanted to use what I've learnt. The minute I was introduced to
HTML, a website-building language, I fell for it instantly. It looked very
interesting and easy to learn, do I decided to learn it myself by reading
books related to the topic. Then, after searching with differnet search
engines, Istill could find a web site dedicated to KWSC, so I began to
think probably it's time for me to do something for my home school. On the
other hand, I have some photos and information related to KWSC on hands
and would like to share them with others. Therefore, the un- official
website of KWSC is born! In the beginning, the site was only in English because of the nature of difficulty and time- consuming for inputing Chinese characters. Still, it's necessarily to have a Chinese version for the convenience of the users especially the students of KWSC and in order to match the changes of the language-teaching system of the school, all the pages of the site are translated into Chinese and the site became completed. There are a lot of precious photos about our school-life in the old days at KWSC provided in the gallery section. Some of them were taken for a photography competition while I was studying at KWSC, but most of them were sent far away from the south of the earth of Australia from a friendto me in Canada while I was studying abroad. Since there was no negatives to make reprints and was asked to return them to the sender, I insisted to keep them until I had a chance to return to H.K. and had them made into another set of photocopies then later uploaded them to the internet. All those troubles make the photos even more valuable and priceless. That also witnesses the meaning of true friendship. Information provided in the site is obviously not so up-to-date for the reason that the web author has left the school for a long time and do not have access to the new information. Luckily, most of the old memories, especially the 10th Anniversary Book and all the pins of different societies and clubs, are kept nicely on hand for all these years and be able to share with all our alumnus. Comments are all welcome. Here, I'd like to thank all the visitors and/or alumnus, present or past, for visiting and signing our guestbook to support the site. Spread the news and invite more people to come! You can even e-mail us with your favorite photos or information to have them posted up and share with others. Again, all comments are welcome. Last, but not least, I'd like to thank four of our alumnus for providing most of the invaluable photos. They are Fanny Chan (1988), Celia Yiu (1988),Bonnie Kan (1988), and David Chan (1987). |
